We had our doubts at first so we went to test 5 different canister vacuum that are rated as the top 5 and we compared them side by side with ours and the Big Ball was the only one that could clean and suck all the different samples of dirt we brought with us like dust, cat litter, hair, coffe grounds and more stuff without spreading them around unlike the other vacuums. It helps access any place and underneath the furniture, Very flexible to put anywhere you need it, picks up all the dust, a great product I’d recommend . If you don't finagle it closed carefully, then when you next remove the canister, the door pops open, and all the dust empties all over the vacuum unit and the floor. I would definitely recommend it. I returned my canister and got Dyson's multipurpose upright (which replaced my older DC25 upright). CR was wrong. I've only used my new Dyson canister vacuum once in the few days since I got it. She tells me a) there is not a known design issue and b) there is no fix and all she can do is send me a whole new canister unit, which I tell her is no good because it's a design issue not a fault.
