After receiving government sanction for her team, becoming the X-Treme Sanctions Executive, Storm eventually came to be Queen of Wakanda for a time, by way of marrying the Black Panther, but her marriaged ended during the Avengers vs X-Men conflict. Ominous, metaphorical storm clouds have been gathering over Black Panther’s Wakanda for some time now as the ancient Orisha have seemingly abandoned T’Challa and his people. At the beginning of Doomwar, The Desturi were nearly in full control of Wakanda. The “X of Swords” event is forcing several mutants to go out and find legendary blades for a contest against the champions of Arakko. Storm was really hurt imo in the x men comics when they connected her with Wakanda and Black Panther imo. Wakanda appears in Marvel Heroes. Ancient people in the area that would later become modern-day Wakanda eventually learned to manipulate storm … In the comics, T’Challa and Storm are still divorced. Wakanda makes a cameo in Storm's ending in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Warning: contains spoilers for Marauders #13.. Marvel’s X-Men are no longer able to enter Wakanda without permission from Black Panther himself. It was this event that caused him to annul their marriage. High Influential Connections: As Queen of Wakanda, Storm has access to a vast collection of magical artifacts, technological and military hardware (including Vibranium), as well as the support of the nation's wide array of scientists, adventurers, and superheroes. The Future. Storm has been selected as one of Krakoa’s warriors and must retrieve a legendary blade known as Skybreaker. But to me it seems like they felt just being a mutant was an insult so I guess they decided they had to make her something else as well! That’s just my view. Currently, there are no plans to bring them back together — which is sad — because they were one of Marvel’s strongest couples. She and Black Panther oversee the land while discussing whether or not humanity is worth saving, what with mutant discrimination still being rife.
