why i want to be a nicu nurse

NICU nurses have a wide variety of responsibilities when caring for babies in the intensive care unit. This means they work with some of the most vulnerable patients possible, watching over them extremely closely and acting quickly in the event of any sudden changes. Before graduation, we got to choose which unit we wanted for our preceptorship. I know I won't be doing anything close to what nurses do but any experience helps. I can sit here all day and read on different things about the NICU and nursing in general. It's pretty fucking ridiculous, and the fact that most of my charting involves checking a few boxes and maybe charting and IV (if there's time, of course) is pretty dope. A neonatal intensive care nurse is a licensed RN with an ADN, BSN, or advanced degree .They care for newborns who need round-the-clock attention. :) Why I love NICU nursing - I can't say it any better than already posted here :) .
